Pervious Concrete Stands the Test of Time

Bay Area Pervious Concrete owner and technical guru, David Liguori, took a trip to Walnut Creek to put our product to the test for a three year review, and what he found was a parking lot in near mint condition. Installed in 2020, the Skilled Nursey Facility features nearly 19,000 square feet of pervious concrete - curb to curb.

With no asphalt draining onto the pavement, the asphalt fines and associated sediment that typically cause clogging in hybrid designs (mixing asphalt and pervious concrete) are non-existent. As the video shows, a well-designed system and properly installed pervious pavement offers high level performance with little or no maintenance.

The pavement passed with flying colors when it came to infiltration testing with water disappearing instantly. But the most important take-away isn’t the fact that our product can easily meet stormwater requirements without taking up more space than needed, or the fact that our product can infiltrate stormwater without the need of expensive infrastructure, or our variety of cost-effective options. What is most important is a strong system starts with strong project design that results in effectiveness and longevity. An area that David Liguori is particularly passionate about.

Do you have an upcoming project, but you’re unsure how to create a highly effective and long lasting system? What are you waiting for? David is only a call away for design consultation, industry expertise, and ease of mind.
